Gabby Chi is the Co-Founder and Principal Designer of Dear Friends Events, where she brings an artful, emotionally driven approach to event design. A graduate of ArtCenter College of Design—one of the most respected design schools in the country—she blends her creative expertise with a deep appreciation for storytelling, nostalgia, and timeless beauty.
Her design style evokes an old-world charm—romantic, whimsical, and layered with meaning. Inspired by vintage editorials, treasured heirlooms, and the vibrant culture of Southern California, Gabby curates visual experiences that are as intentional as they are enchanting. Her work is known for its ability to transport guests and create atmospheres that feel both deeply personal and visually arresting.
With a meticulous eye for detail and a strong intuition for her clients’ vision, Gabby transforms spaces into living stories. Each celebration she designs is unique, evocative, and a true reflection of the people at its heart.
At home in Los Angeles, Gabby shares life with her husband and their black Shiba Inu, Dingding—her loyal design assistant and daily dose of joy. A devoted reader, she finds inspiration in wedding stories and real-life moments of love—always eager to bring that same sense of wonder and beauty to the couples she works with.

As Co-Founder and Principal Planner of Dear Friends Events, Vera brings a composed presence, refined precision, and an unwavering dedication to creating weddings that are as seamless as they are unforgettable. Her signature approach combines strategic expertise with an artful eye for detail—delivering events that feel effortless, elevated, and deeply personal.
Vera holds a degree in Statistics and Architectural Studies from Mount Holyoke College and began her career in the world of finance, working with industry-leading firms such as Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan. There, she developed the ability to manage high-stakes projects, complex logistics, and multimillion-dollar budgets with clarity and confidence—skills that now define her planning philosophy.
With an emphasis on thoughtful process, streamlined execution, and discreet luxury, Vera believes wedding planning should feel like a tailored, collaborative experience. Her clients value her professionalism, sharp organization, and intuitive ability to bring structure to even the most ambitious vision—transforming dreams into beautifully orchestrated realities.
